COVID-19 Update

Update From Pastor Matt

In case you haven’t heard – the BC provincial government has now banned all large gatherings (250+ people) to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. As a result, TriCity church will be suspending our Sunday gatherings and providing an online video version instead. It will be available for viewing Sunday morning at 8:30am on our website. We encourage you to worship at home and devote yourself to the Word of God as we continue through our Conflicting Kingdoms Series.

Time Frame

We plan on doing online gatherings for until further notice. We hope to be back together in person for Easter Weekend, but we will send out updates as the situation develops.

Other Details

All Midweek activities are also suspended for the time being including Community Groups, Bible Studies, Youth and Young Adults. We realize these are gatherings of less than 250 people, but it seems best to restrict interpersonal contact as much as possible for now.

We are working on more dedicated online content such as podcasts, devotionals, virtual Community Group meetings and streaming Bible studies. Please sign up for our weekly update to get the latest info. and to keep up to date. (You can sign up for the update at the bottom of our home page or just email the office – see below.)

Pastoral Word

2 Timothy 1:7
God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

As we have mentioned before, none of this is rooted in fear. It’s all about love. Love for the vulnerable among us who are truly in danger from this virus,
Love for the healthcare workers who will be overwhelmed and overworked if infection levels spike, and Love for God who is our hope in the trials of life and and even in death itself.

May we be a people who – even in uncertain and difficult times – look for opportunities to honour God and help others around us know Him more.
