TriCity Church Catan Championship

Some have called it the greatest board game since chess. It brings many together. It tears many apart. A mix of strategy, probability, negotiation and sheep, Settlers of Catan has won the hearts of countless players all over the world!
The real question is, though, who Is the Tri-Cities’ greatest Catan player?
On Saturday, February 16, TriCity Church will find out at the first ever TriCity Catan Championship! Come on out for a fun night of playing alongside new friends as we play the 6-player expansion on the classic Settlers of Catan game. Registration will be available to the first 36 players to sign-up.

When: February 16, 4:30-10:00pm
Location: TriCity Church (2145 Nova Scotia Ave, Port Coquitlam)
Cost: $10
Format:
– Rounds will be capped at 1 hour and 30 minutes
– The tournament will be bracketed by victory points (with ties broken by the earliest person to record their victory points)
– 2 preliminary rounds, with the top 6 players breaking to the final round
– Prizes will be awarded to the champion and some other standout performances – though the true prize of friendship will be available to everyone (there will be no participation trophies!)
– $10 buy-in; food will be provided!
