To compliment our current Sermon series on Genesis 1-11 we will host two nights of additional teaching this Fall key topics arising from Genesis itself. Each evening will involve a panel discussion featuring speakers with relevant expertise or experience along with ample time for questions from the audience.

Views of Creation

Join us for a robust and informative discussion of the various ways to understand the Genesis creation account. Topics will include:

– How to read Genesis 1-2
– Evolution / Theistic Evolution / Creation
– Literal Day vs Day Age
– Arguments of Old Earth and Young earth
– Historicity of Adam and Eve
– What is the relationship between Christianity & Science?

Nov 15 • 7pm
Gender & Sexuality

This evening will welcome speakers Andy Steiger from Apologetics Canada along with some former members of the LGBTQ+ community. Topics will include:

– What is a biblical understanding of sexuality and gender from Genesis?
– Why is this a normative pattern for all human beings?
– How should we understand the experience of same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria?
– Why can’t Christians just let people live their lives?
– How can individuals and churches hold firm to biblical norms and yet still extend kindness to those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
