Ministry Apprenticeship
At TriCity Church, one of our great desires is to train up godly leaders for our local church and beyond. We desire to see men and women equipped for vocational ministry and the Ministry Apprenticeship is one way that we are seeking to accomplish that.
What is the Ministry Apprenticeship?
The TriCity Ministry Apprenticeship is an 8-month program (September-April) designed to help individuals discern a call to vocational ministry. The goal is that each apprentice would be exposed to the inner workings of church ministry in a variety of areas, with a combination of hands-on experience and theological training.
The Ministry Apprenticeship is structured around three main elements: Learn, Discern, and Grow.
Learn – Observe how ministry functions at TriCity Church and dive deeper into the theological convictions and philosophy of ministry that undergird TriCity’s ministry.
Discern – Opportunity to “get your feet wet” in ministry activities, to understand what vocational ministry is like, and to discern a call to ministry
Grow – Time for church staff and leaders to pour into you for further spiritual growth and equipping.
Who is it for?
This program is open to anyone who wants the opportunity to discern a potential call to ministry or to simply be further equipped for lay ministry in the church. There is no specific schooling or background/experience that is required. Those who are accepted must be willing to become members of TriCity Church if they are not already.
How does it work?
The program is an 8-10 hour per week commitment and is designed to accompany and/or complement part-time work or school. There is no cost for the program and all of your expenses for books and resources will be covered by the church.
